Founder Story
Canada is home, and it’s brimming with extraordinary talent and innovation. As a designer, I’m continually inspired by the local artists, artisans, and entrepreneurs who define our cultural landscape.
I started Canuck Directory during the 2020 lockdowns, when beloved neighbourhood businesses were forced to close their doors or pivot online. What began as a project to support local shops during a critical moment has grown into a permanent space celebrating the unique spirit of Canadian creativity.

A Note on Our Name
The term “Canuck” is an affectionate word for a Canadian, first recorded in 1835. Today, it stands as a proud, authentic symbol of our shared culture and creative identity.
